Multifunctional vacuum-chuck
Five different vacuum technologies united in one system
In order to fulfill increasing demands in machining, Witte Bleckede, manufacturer of different work piece clamping systems, have put together a set which unites up to five different vacuum clamping systems. Until recently Vac-Mat, grid-type, grid hole, Metapor and slot type chucks co existed next to one other, now all clamping applications are possible using a multi-functional vacuum chuck.
The set consists of a base chuck with the Vac-Mat system as well as four accessory plates, which can be mounted on top of each other like a sandwich. The adapter plates are exchanged and mounted in a simple manual process.
The set puts a higher range of applications i.e. through-cutting with Vac-Mat, machining small parts using slot chuck with rubber mat, heavy cutting using grid type and O-shaped seal etc. at user’s fingertips with a simultaneous cost reduction compared with single purchases. The modular chuck is available in standard dimensions of 200x300mm and can be extended at any time with chucks of the same dimension using couplings.
The multi-functional vacuum chuck is particularly suitable for users new to vacuum technology, in order to gain experience with the various application possibilities of vacuum clamping technology.
